Living and working on the water has always been a way of life for me. As a young boy of 12 years old I started working on crab and shrimp boats during my summer break from school. In 1985 I was in a hunting accident and lost my left leg. But I continued to commercial fish up to about 2004.

At that time I came to realize that physically it just become harder and harder for me to do. I had to make a change in my life.

I decided to sell my commercial fishing business and devote my full time to Potter's Marine. I am so blessed to be doing something that I enjoy so much and also spend more time with my wife Amy and my children, Emma & Jacob.
